Discover Discovery

Things that I almost missed on a regular Saturday night.

1. Colorful rice crispy ballettes and teddy bears in chocolate dip. Yum! I know these are new babies cause my eyes have not feasted on them before. Not the best packaging, but collectively, these cuties are cheerful enough to catch my attention. I stocked up 12.

2. Bongo night, a drum & bass party, celebrated their 1st anniversay at Palle Pallete. Bongo never existed in my realm till now and I will give up one chocoloate teddy to attend another gig, just to confirm if they have variety in the spin list.

Woman: “Do you like it? D&B gigs are rare, not for the mass”
(Tot bubble:“Errr…ya… the beat is like bjork fast-forward”)

Gavin: “D&B is all about mathematics. Listen hard”
(Tot bubble: "Errr…I still can’t count")

Isaac: “It’s too loud here, I’m going over (to No Black Tie)
(Tot bubble: “Errr…should I have lala or balitong later?”

With enough of historical run down in drum and bass, I still wonder if giving up a choco teddy is well worth it. Dun kill me Gav, I still wanna know wats out there!!!

3. All said, it was a pleasure to meet friends I’ve not seen for a while and friends whom I hope to meet. Elan, Ms Science, Me, Gavin and Isaac Entry. And Irwan, long lost childhood friend.

4. Even the balitong session at Alor let out a few surprises

Not everybody can suck (well!)

Best advertisments are those that say it like it is.

Point Blanc's MV went pirate. Very bad.

Lesson learnt!

It’s always about the timing and never about enough time.

Saturday morning: I tagged on with Bombshelter team to repay our fortunes to the less fortunate. It was amazingly exhausting but most inspiring for a boring Saturday in Klang Valley.

‘How could I spend 12 hours in the office and still feel the need to complete, yet, only 7 hours with the kids and I came out fullfilled?’ I guess that’s the simplest way to express this gig without writing long.

Thanks to Bombshelter for the invitation, Grateful to Lady Eng for Youth Leaders International program and bless the kids with only sunny skies and flicking stars.

Tag team Ahem

It's great to be back in semi-action, after laying low for a few sick days. These 2 fellas, Patience and Calm, never fails to make me smile. Every creative's dream, and in this case a planner's choice.

Who's your dentist?

He likes Tranformers, wears Crocs and built fangs for horror movies.
The wait is worth it. Finally, I found my Dentist!

WHY

is the most used word in our vocab
especially in times of suffering
Why?
I dunno.

Grow old with me

I've always have great admiration for skaters. Blame it on childhood vagabonding, except those days were skateboards, not rollers. In the hope of Wheel Love giving me a part of their Love (and TQ for supporting me in professional ways :=), this is my second dedication to the boys out there - whose sweat, scratches and skills reign high in the town of KL. What's fascinating this time is Sukeat's curious touch on the Holga, at the dusun and at the parks. Here are some tempting snaps. More at www.wl33.com/blog

Breathe in

Those were strange days, now that I look back at them
In the midst of life, everthing revolve around death, food and good company.

Ade's Ink

Chasing strange nights,
Painted plastic butterflies
A colored pony cake
Green gate made from butter cookies
Tiger lilies of giant size, side-by-side with ten-hundred thumbs
This is the cross stich of chasing strange nights.

At Night

Is comfortable
Reverse time / work at night / sleep all day
What do you do when you can’t sleep?
Think of someone
Write a bit
Sketch a plan
Rearrange your books
Maybe re-reading your favourite chapter
Dawn comes, mosque calls, and rooster coos,
Times up / dawn light strikes
Rush to sleep
Already feeling the guilt for missing out the day

I wrote this for Yesterday

Today is history
Today our wavelength is different
Today is not yesterday
Today is never going to be today

In a conversation

"Are you reading what I'm listening?"

"You are reading what I'm talking"

"I'll be talking what you are reading"

On Cheesademic

August 5th is waiting for violets day
There's something to pray while waiting for May
I sit back and think how far more away?
When we could be here, just chilling and play
