Great literature

Whatever comes cannot alter one thing. If I'm a princess in rags and tatters, I can be a princess inside. It would be easy to be a princess if I were to dress in cloth of gold, but it is a great deal more of a triumph to be one all the time when no one knows. - Sara Crewe, from The Little Princess

Fixies on Friday

Wheel Love house their 1st fixie installation for RatzKL tonight. Along with that was a video screening (but of course) and a small competition. I'm so excited because I've been wanting a bike for the last 3 years and tonight was like the cookie galore - where bikes come in all shapes, colors and sizes. But too bad, even the smallest bike is too high for me to pedal :( Nonetheless, an eventful night. I hope this group gets to grow its members (currently 30) and turn this little hobby into a KL movement. Then, we'll get a strong voice to lobby for bike safe roads in KL, or at least Damansara or PJ or Subang :)

{totally irrelevant but it was fun that we non-fixies had fun too}

Science confirms Intuition: Cycling Calms the Mind, Meditation

Breakfast

I've fallen sick far too frequent this year. Yesterday, I had a terrible sore throat (the rough kind!). Today, my nose is runny and body aches. Luckily with internet, i've picked up a few dishes that made me smile and look forward to have this weekend :-)

I'm never a breakfast person. This must change.

Got to have it

LOMOs and other analogue cameras are great, but for a busy-lazy-b like me, it's hard to find time for film processing and scanning. Least to say, finding a safe place to store the negatives, and often times, too safe to remember.

So when I read about Pocket Digital camera-SQ28m on Japan Trends, my heart felt the squeeze and she told me, finally.

Pocket Digital Camera - SQ28m is square format camera that marries analogue-kinda effects in digital style. What's even better but "questionable" (since I haven't tested it myself) is the size that produces these great photos and videos. Yes, videos too!!!!

Its keychain size is perfect for anywhere. Compared to my dear LX3 which feels like a great brick of gravity in my bag (still love you though), Pokedigi is the kind that you feel the need to bring along with no intentions to use. Like phones with camera function.

The gallery of photos are tempting and the videos reminds me of how much I wanna work on a 35mm film camera and to shoot something like Lou Reed's video.

I'm 80% sold after finishing this post.
Gotta ask Hayashi to read the specs on Thurs.
What about you?

Kelly Caleche

Since I'm on the subject of perfume, I'll like to share another 'real' favorite that I can't afford. Kelly Caleche from Hermes has a clean, fresh scent. I don't have the expertise in nodes and aroma compounds, but I can tell you, this scent makes me feel classic, like a Chanel girl.

Hmmm, what a mixed up of brand imagery.

Parisienne Yves Saint Laurent

I never really care about perfumes but this one makes me want it because of its proposition. They say that the girl who wears this perfume "is not from Paris but Paris adopts her". How lovely?

I'm blogging this from Singapore and am already thinking, Takashimaya will be the first place to go to check out Parisienne YSL.

The girl who leapt through time

My favorite part of the movie where Makoto waits for Chiako to return from the future for one last kiss and a closure. This scene will tell if you are romantic or a realist. I can't wait for Mamoru Hosoda's next one, Summer Wars.

Little twin stars

will always have a soft spot for them no matter how old i am.
